Using Garmin, Strava and Apple Health together

Most runners own more than one tracker: a watch, a phone and a training app that all record the same run. YUHA reads them together and keeps one clean picture, so a workout is counted once and each measurement comes from the best source for it.

The same run, recorded twice

A Garmin watch and a phone can both record one run, and Strava can then hold a third copy. Added together, that run is three runs and your weekly distance and training load are inflated. YUHA treats two records of the same sport that overlap in time as one workout and keeps a single record, chosen by your source order. For workouts, Strava ranks first by default, then Garmin, then Apple Health and Health Connect. Nobody runs two different runs at the same moment, so the overlap is the signal.

One source per measurement

For sleep, recovery, HRV and VO2max, YUHA asks the best available tracker for each measurement rather than blending them. By default Garmin ranks first, then Ultrahuman, then Apple Health, then Health Connect. If your preferred tracker has nothing for a day, the next one answers. You can change the order in Sources.

Which tracker connects where

Your access, your control

YUHA only reads your connected accounts and never changes them. Disconnecting a tracker keeps the history it already contributed, with one exception: Strava's rules require its data to be deleted on disconnect, so you choose between deleting it now or keeping it for 30 days in case you reconnect.

Common questions

Will connecting Garmin and Strava double count my runs?

No. Records of the same sport that overlap in time are treated as one workout, and one record is kept based on your source order.

Which tracker wins if two have my sleep?

By default Garmin, then Ultrahuman, then Apple Health, then Health Connect. You can reorder them in Sources.

Can I use YUHA with only a phone and no watch?

Yes. Apple Health on iPhone and Health Connect on Android carry steps, sleep and workouts, and YUHA works from whatever it can see.

Does YUHA change anything in my Garmin or Strava account?

No. Access is read-only. The one write is optional: you can send a planned workout to your Garmin watch.
